For the CHE Ranking, we acquire data about departments, HEIs and academic locations, and we collect assessments by students and professors. This results in up to 30 ranked indicators per subject. In addition, many extra details (such as student accommodation) are given as non-ranked, supplementary information.

In order to present the diversity of the information included in the ranking and to consider selected results in even more detail, the CHE has started the "Focus on indicators" series in Germany. Individual indicators or groups of indicators are presented in more detail in special analyses (only in German).
